LENA Research Foundation Promotes Early Talking to Kids On “The Balancing Act” on Lifetime TV
(Pompano Beach, FL – April 6, 2012) LENA Research Foundation recently completed their shoot for the hit morning TV show “The Balancing Act.” The segment, which features guest Mia Moe, Director of Communication, will air as part of the show’s “Parent-Teacher Corner – Technology for 21st Century Learning: Language Development in the Early Years” series in April on Lifetime Television.
Adult words and conversational turns are critical to brain development and IQ. Many parents don’t realize how little they talk to their kids, especially from ages 0-3. LENA is a method that aims to bridge that communication barrier and actually quantify the effects of experiencing a rich language environment.
"The LENA Research Foundation is a nonprofit charitable organization dedicated to developing advanced technology for the early screening, research and treatment of language delays and disorders in young children.”
Parents can often be misguided about what forms of learning work best for kids. The LENA Research Foundation aims to empower parents in their efforts to raise intelligent and well-balanced children.
