Students break another VT record!The Brookhaven Learning Center in Chelsea, VT recently won a Children's Literacy Foundation Grant (CLiF) that entitles them to a $1000 worth of library books for their school! Reading has become a huge focus at Brookhaven in recent years.

The Brookhaven Learning Center in Chelsea, VT recently won a Children's Literacy Foundation Grant (CLiF) that entitles them to a $1000 worth of library books for their school! Reading has become a huge focus at Brookhaven in recent years. Twenty- Brookhaven hosted a Literacy Event and Book Give-away at their Learning Center on Wednesday, April 4, 2012. Duncan McDougall, Director of CliF, came and read to the children and each child in attendance received 2 new books. Duncan then awarded Brookhaven its new library! Over 50 brand new books for the school! A special thanks from Brookhaven to the Green Mountain Coffee Roasters for sponsoring this great event. Brookhaven is committed to providing individualized educational, residential, and clinical services to male youths ages 6-13 who have experienced abuse and neglect and present with significant emotional and behavioral challenges.
