April 6, 2012 - PRLog -- Bikers!  Ride the Brake the Hunger Cycle Tour, one of the largest charity bike rides in Northern N J, on Sat., May 5th.  This fifth annual event is not a race, but a ride through scenic Morris County, with its rolling hills, lakes and streams.  Five routes for every skill level, from young to old, from a 4-mile ride to a challenging 62-mile route.  All rides begin and end at host church, St. David’s, in Kinnelon, 91 Kinnelon Rd., Kinnelon, NJ.  Kessler Institute therapists will be on site for pre- and post-ride stretching.  A backyard BBQ with great food, live music, door prizes and family entertainment will round out the event.  All tax-deductible riders’ fees will be donated to help feed the hungry. Go to for more information and to register on-line.

People go hungry every day and everywhere, both here and abroad. All profits from the Brake the Hunger Cycle Tour will be donated to efforts to end hunger – both locally and globally.  Each year the profits from our event will be directed to a different initiative that ultimately deals with the hungry, the poor, the impoverished. All this is geared toward a global initiative of over 200 countries established at the September 2000 United Nations Millennium Summit, with a goal of reducing extreme poverty in half by the year vgpnf 2015. World leaders agreed to set time bound and measurable goals and targets for combating poverty, hunger, disease, literacy, environmental degradation and discrimination against women. They are now known as the Millennium Development Goals.
