-- San Diego Venture Group will hold a private showing of the critically-acclaimed movie, “Something Ventured,” at the Irwin M. Jacobs Qualcomm Hall on April 19 at 5 p.m.
The film highlights visionary risk takers by telling the story of an industry that went on to become the single greatest engine of innovation and economic growth in the 20th century.
“This movie has received very high praise by well known business and mass media outlets from around the country,” said Dave Titus, president of the San Diego Venture Group. “We’re fortunate to be able to show this movie as our April program to all who register.”
Something Ventured was the idea of Paul Holland, a Silicon Valley venture capitalist who is a general partner with Foundation Capital. He and Molly Davis of Rainmaker Communications co-produced the film that was directed by Emmy-Award-winning filmmakers Dan Geller and Dayna Goldfine.
