April 5, 2012 - PRLog -- IRVINE, Calif. – April 3, 2012 – The Irvine Chamber’s Micropreneur® Program, hosted by Robert Coleman, President of The Pacific Venture Club, is designed to teach entrepreneurs and small business owners how to raise capital, market their products, develop new business opportunities, manage finances and plan for greater prosperity. The April webinar lineup features topics on making progress with small business in a difficult economy, finding a sustainable livelihood, micro-lending in California and how to evaluate new products and service ideas. The webinars are free for all to participate.

Making Progress with Your Small business In a Difficult Economy

Micro-Lending In California
This session will describe the role of CDFIs in meeting the credit needs of their communities, how businesses can access this capital, and where these programs can be found in Calif.

April 26th
How to Evaluate New Product and Service Ideas
•   What makes a product right for YOUR company
•   Why even great ideas can be wrong to pursue
•   What you need to be able to prove your product is good to outsiders and investors

The free Micropreneur® Webinars are scheduled for every Thursday, 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. and feature a different topic each week. The Irvine Chamber’s Business & Economic Development department was recently awarded for its efforts in economic development promotion and programs with its Cleantech India event as well as the weekly Irvine Micropreneur® Webinar Series. The award ceremony took place at the California Association for Local Economic Development (CALED) 32nd Annual Conference in Sacramento, Calif. on March 21st 2012.

Chris Lynch, VP of business and economic development at the Irvine Chamber notes that his department is excited to be recognized for the Chambers efforts in economic development, as the ICC BED strives to implement innovative and game-changing solutions to assist small business members and entrepreneurs. Since the Irvine Micropreneur® Program launched in the fall of 2010, the weekly series has steadily gained popularity and has seen a steady increase in viewership since its introduction.
