Head of the Cayman Islands office Kieron O’Rourke said: “Our Cayman practice is growing tremendously and we are delighted to welcome Patrick, Louise, Sean and Tim who bring an outstanding set of skills and expertise spanning the areas of investment funds, private equity, corporate and finance. We are pleased that lawyers of this calibre and experience are choosing to join us; it stands testament to our collegiate, friendly culture and our dedication to providing a commercial and diligent service to our global client base. We are continuing to recruit and will be announcing additional hires in the near future."

In London Sean Scott joined this month as a partner with over 10 years of offshore funds experience most recently in the London office of Maples and Calder, while Louise Groom joined the Cayman Islands office from Walkers bringing more than 10 years of offshore and onshore experience.

Jonathan Culshaw, Managing Partner of Harneys Hong Kong, said the recent expansion demonstrates the firm’s commitment to its Cayman Islands practice. "We have been the leading firm for BVI law for decades, we helped write the commercial law and no other firm comes close to our collective expertise. We will continue to grow our Cayman market share by sticking to the simple model that built our BVI business - good lawyers delivering commercial advice on time for a fair price. I am particularly pleased to welcome Tim Bridges to our Hong Kong office. He is a great lawyer and brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record in building Cayman business in Asia."

Harneys is a leading offshore law firm with 6 offices around the world practicing the law of the Cayman Islands, the BVI, Cyprus and Anguilla. The firm, founded 52 years ago in the BVI, established its Cayman Islands office in 2008.
