Is St. George, Staten Island the new black?

April 4, 2012 - PRLog -- On April 15, 2012 Resale Riches, TriBeCa's Online Luxury Consignment Shop will open a by appointment only 'try-on' showroom on Art Hill in the St. George section of Staten Island. Easily accessible by public transportation and only 20 minutes from Manhattan, Staten Island Couture, a Resale-Riches Company (as it will be officially called) is conveniently located steps from the S.I. Ferry and one block from the Staten Island Museum.

"Buyers are encouraged to shop online, but as more and more requests are being made to try things on, I realized there's definitely a need for a space where clients can also come and shop in person" said owner, Tania Anthony

Resale Riches will always be an online boutique first, but now fashionistas also have the option to make an appointment and try on those Christian Louboutin pumps they've been eyeing. "Try Before You Buy" appointments can be made online. Buyers will be asked to submit ahead of time a list of the items they are interested in. "This will allow us to pull and prepare the pieces so they are ready in time for the appointment" explained Tania.

Tania settled on making the move to Staten Island not only because it's more affordable and conveniently close to the Resale Riches base in TriBeca, but she also realized that Staten Island was in need of a luxury designer consignment shop which carries premium brands such as Chanel, Hermes, & Louis Vuitton (to name a few).

In order to create an environment where 'working girls' are made to feel like VIP's when they come here, Tania's goal is to provide an exclusive personal shopping service and experience much like you would get at Bergdorf's or Barneys. With advice and guidance from Wendy Brown of 7Stepstodesign, the showroom is tastefully decorated with a chic and modern flair.

Resale Riches will continue offering the convenience of a pick up service from Manhattan based consignors, but now will also provide Staten Island based fashionistas with an outlet where they can easily drop-off and sell their designer cast-offs as well.

Designer consignments are accepted year-round. Resale Riches offers the highest commission on designer cast-offs. Consignors receive between 60% - 80% of the selling price.
