May 2, 2012 - PRLog -- This spring marks the release of SWITCHED - Alfred Sparman's second book release following on from the release of his first book ‘1.58 Seconds’ last year.

The launch will take place at Pages Bookstore in Cave Shepherd on Broad Street in Bridgetown Barbados from 12 noon to 1pm when Dr Alfred Sparman will be signing copies.

Synopsis:
SWITCHED by Alfred Sparman is a story of love, sex, money, drama, suspense and revenge.  When renowned cardiac surgeon Dr. Alfred Sparman is entranced by Rosa, a Puerto Rican beauty, he sacrifices everything he has established in his life for lust.  After succumbing to his desires, lies and deception kick in setting off a chain of events that cause his life to turn upside down.  Alfred’s life hangs in balance as his twin brother Ashton enacts his long awaited plans for revenge.

“Don’t move”
“What’s going on Rosa…I don’t understand, what are you doing?” I pleaded.
“You brought this on yourself Alfred”
“Rosa I don’t understand,” I continued.  “I love you, you should know this, what have I done?”  
“The name Juan Mendes mean anything at all to you?!” she asked anger building up on her face.
“No…I don’t know a Jan”
“Juan, …Juan Mendes.  Doesn’t ring a bell? A young Latino guy you beat to a pulp and left for dead! STILL NOT RINGING ANY BELLS?” She screamed her voice straining and her face burning crimson.  
“I haven’t killed anyone Rosa I swear!”
“… Really why would they care that the son of an illegal immigrant got beat up, that’s just another non-official they no longer have to deal with,” she screamed her Latin native tongue flaring between English and Spanish.  
“I didn’t know, I’m so s…”
“You’re what Alfred? What? S-s-s-sorry?” she mocked in fake stutter. “Well this is retribution Alfred…”
“Rosa,” I stepped closer towards her and a foot further from the cliff edge.
“DON’T MOVE!”  She cocked her head and the gun at the same time.
“Now Rosa,” I began again.
“I’m not kidding Alfred,” she pulled back the trigger, her tears had stopped.  
“One,” she began counting.  “Two”
“Rosa, wait please,” I cried.  
“We are tired of you lies Alfred!” she said cool and collected.
“Who is we?” I shouted at her.
