April 4, 2012 - PRLog -- Detroit, Michigan – YOBI.tv, the Internet’s premiere home for interactive talent competitions, has teamed with world-renowned music manager Johnny Wright, whose clients have included Justin Timberlake, The Jonas Brothers, Britney Spears and countless others, to produce “Take the Stage,” a revolutionary online non-scripted singing competition starring finalists from the site’s music competition and voted on by the site’s users.

“Take the Stage” (http://yobi.tv/take_the_stage_webseries/) will follow the top finalists from the site’s YOBISing singing contest as they are flown to Detroit, Michigan for a crash-course in the music industry, slated to run for at least 15 webisodes. Wright, along with a well-known recording artist (yet to be announced) and various other industry professionals, will mentor these aspiring singers and put them through challenges that will prepare them to be the world’s next breakout stars.

The winner of the contest will be awarded $20,000 and will be signed to a music management contract in a joint partnership with Johnny Wright and YOBI.tv to bring life changing opportunities to his or her music career.

“Take the Stage” plans to differ from existing televised singing contests by requiring contestants to perform completely original content. The show’s mentors will help develop the contestants within their own self-identified musical genres instead of having songs or genres dictated to them.

In another break from the norm, contestants will not be eliminated until the end of the series; YOBI.tv (http://yobi.tv) users will vote online in a cumulative process throughout the course of the show. This will allow the contestants more time to grow and exhibit their talents to the series’ viewers.
