By: Chrissy Sarro/Nage Restaurant Nage Restaurant Rehoboth Beach,DE April 3, 2012 As Rehoboth's restaurant world slowly emerges from winter's hibernation, the Nage Restaurant team is already full steam ahead with a full plate of changes for the new season. "We've never been so busy," says owner Josh Grapski as he reflects on the growth and changes which have developed under his watch throughout the winter. Most notably, Hari Cameron, Nage Chef de Cuisine for the past eight years, will become the majority owner and executive chef of "a(Muse.) inspired food & drink" , a new restaurant concept located in downtown Rehoboth Beach. "It's the perfect opportunity to showcase Hari's talent and passion for creative food preparation," A sudden change? "Not at all. Hari and I have been working toward this goal for him for quite some time," says Grapski who joined Nage Bistro & Wine Bar in 2004. "One of my goals has always been about uplifting our employees." Grapski goes on to explain his company's philosophy is to reward deserving employees with more than just pay raises. We recognize hard work by promoting from within, and by developing new business ownership opportunities. Hari is a perfect example of helping people grow so they can achieve their goals." It is a sentiment echoed by "Chef Hari" as he's known to his loyal following at Nage. "I've learned so much from my partnership with Nage over the past 8 years. Our team is dedicated to serving our customers dishes that are unique, yet grounded in solid tradition. Our success has come from a dedication to delivering a creative twist to the recipes." Nage's new spring menu clearly depicts Chef Hari's fondness for classic dishes, now guided by Chef Ted Deptula, who is in his 5th year with Nage. "Teddy is the first to embrace true artistry in the kitchen," says Cameron, who cannot hide his pride that his protoge has been promoted to command this renowned Rehoboth Beach epicurean kitchen. A graduate of the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York, Deptula, who was formerly with the prestigious Hotel DuPont in Wilmington, is well positioned to continue the tradition of innovation that Nage customers have come to expect. "My thanks goes to our loyal customers, and certainly to Josh. Their feedback, and my experience working with Chef Hari, is the best motivation. We share the same dedication to making the Nage dining experience memorable... and fun," states Deptula. But will customers like these changes? "That's terrific news!" says Paul Cullen, who, along with his wife, Bonnie, have been dedicated Nage "regulars" for over six years. "I feel as if they've now doubled the dining out options for really great meals here in Rehoboth. There's no doubt their menus will be terrific." "You can always count on phenomenal food and unmatched service. These guys really are the best food authority in our little slice of foodie heaven" adds Bonnie. "Knowing Hari's passion for food and wine, I know his new place will be sensational!" Mr. Cameron is quick to acknowledge that his connection to Nage remains intact, as he expects to join his Nage partners in a series of cooking classes, demonstrations, and charity events such as the popular Celebrity Beach Brunch. Slated for a mid-May opening, a(Muse.) is located at 44 Baltimore Avenue in the former Cafe Sole location, Chef Hari promises a menu that reflects his passion for food artistry. "My team and I are taking a collective step forward to give our customers dishes with a modern, mid-Atlantic focus. You won't be shocked, but happily surprised," promises this enthusiastic young chef. "My partnerships with the local farming community that I've enjoyed at Nage will continue to influence my new business. And certainly my partnership with the a(Muse.) team is key to making our new venue a destination restaurant for both locals and visitors alike." Noting that his own career has flourished as a result of partnering with others, Chef Hari is quick to point out that it is also his goal to reward the a(Muse.) team with the same opportunities he has been given. "I know first-hand that hard work does bring rewards," he adds. "Make no mistake. Hari has earned his stripes. I couldn't be happier to see him realize this dream come true", says Mr. Grapski.
