Ìona Hair Salon Teams up with Miss North Texas International 2012
(Fort Worth, Texas – October, 2011) Miss North Texas International trusts her hair care to Ìona Hair Salon in Fort Worth, Texas.
Rachael Lynée Burns is the current Miss North Texas International who will be competing for Miss Texas International on April 28, 2012. She graduated Cum Laude with her dance degree from the University of North Texas in 2007 and is an honors graduate from Fossil Ridge High School. Her platform is Child Advocacy, which she is very passionate about and hopes to be able to take this passion to a statewide and ultimately international level. Her passion for this subject comes from her experience as a child. She states, “We can’t prevent most child abuse cases, but we can stop it and advocate for the children who are coming out of abusive homes.” Miss North Texas promotes Court Appointed Special Advocates or C.A.S.A and has worked with many of the local Children’s Advocacy Centers. You may have seen her at various events throughout the metroplex or on Good Morning Texas. She is very active in the North Texas community and has appeared at such events as Love for Kids, MotorCops for Kids, and “Ride for Kids” for the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation to name a few. She is thrilled about this opportunity to speak and give back to her hometown community!
