April 3, 2012 - PRLog -- Now in its fourth year, the day is a joint initiative between Business in the Community and Volunteer Now mobilises hundreds of business volunteers to complete practical team challenge projects to help community group and schools to improve their facilities and the environment.
Legal-Island recently took part in Business in the Community’s ‘Be a Saint Day’ 2012 – where hundreds of business volunteers from all over Northern Ireland dedicated time for the benefit of others.

Vanessa Porter and Julie McCloskey visited Antrim’s Donkey Sanctuary to volunteer for the day (pictured below). Our two volunteers joined 12 others who took on the practical challenge of planting hawthorne hedges.

These hedges will enable the Donkey Sanctuary to partition their fields, as well as providing a natural habitat for different kinds of wildlife including birds, voles, insects and hedgehogs.

Legal-Island is committed to the ethos of volunteering within the local community, with each employee participating in at least two days volunteering each year. Further examples of Legal-Island’s volunteer activity can be seen on their dedicated webpage:
