SD Flash Setting High Season Goals In Quest For Home Town Finish

April 3, 2012 - PRLog -- The San Diego Flash Soccer Club kick-off their 2012 National Premier League Soccer (NPSL) campaign this Saturday hoping to build on the successes of last year’s Southwest Division Championship season.

SD Flash Soccer Club takes on FC Hasental this Saturday April 7 (5pm Kick-off). The Club hopes to come away with three points and early season momentum in what is shaping up to be an exciting second season for Head Coach Warren Barton and his players.

“We have nearly the entire team from last year returning and we've brought on a few new players to bolster the roster. We believe this group will take us one step further than last year’s inaugural title push.

“The US Open Cup loss gave us a bit of a wake-up call before the start of the NPSL season. However, the players have responded in terrific fashion on the training field. This should flow on to game day this weekend.” Barton said.

Flash CEO Clent Alexander was confident the club could go one step further given the post-season incentive.

“The NPSL announced in January that we won the right to host the Championship weekend here in San Diego (July 26-28). I believe there is no better incentive for our players than winning a National Championship on home turf.” Alexander said.
