Vertical Exploration Confirms President Leopoldo Suárez Zapatero To Retire From Exploration Role.

April 2, 2012 - PRLog -- Vertical Exploration, a precious metal and rare mineral exploration company, has confirmed that it’s President and Co-Founder Leopoldo Suárez Zapatero is retiring from his role in exploration. Leopoldo Suárez Zapatero has been President since 2007 when, together with an experienced team of exploration experts, he co-founded Vertical Exploration; he is making the move in order to concentrate on corporate affairs of his rapidly expanding exploration company.
As president of Vertical Exploration, Leopoldo Suárez Zapatero is responsible for the development and implementation of corporate strategy at the company. During 30 year career Leopoldo Suárez Zapatero has worked as a Geophysicist, Senior Geologist and Head of Exploration at Corporación Minera de Boliviaat, Director of Reserve Discovery at an Anglo-Australian Multinational Corporation, Development Director at Petróleos del Peru and Senior Advisor to the Ministerio de Energía y Minas in Peru.  
Since co-founding Vertical Exploration, Leopoldo Suárez Zapatero and his directors have used their collective knowledge, experience and associates in mining and exploration in South America to focus primarily on Argentina, Chile and Peru. Vertical Exploration’s president commented, “For me Vertical Exploration is a dream that came true. I feel that I have achieved something for myself and my partners, instead of working for others. It was a natural progression and very fitting for me at the pinnacle of my career to leave the exploring to others, and the success that we have achieved over the past 4 years have made it all worthwhile. I’ll be based in the company’s Head Quarters in Chile and be home every night to be with my wife, my children and my grand- children, to drink wine and forget about Vertical Exploration, for the night at least.”
Before founding Vertical Exploration, Leopoldo Suárez Zapatero had experience of advising numerous major metals and oil mining corporations on the acquisition of property in his native Chile and Peru. He’s also given advice to governments in South America, Africa and Asia about royalty arrangements. He has completed more than $300 million in exploration rights during his career.  Zapatero co-founded Vertical Exploration in 2007.
