Tommy Castellano Withdraws from Congressional Race, Endorses E. J. Otero

April 2, 2012 - PRLog -- TAMPA, FL- Thomas “Tommy” Castellano has withdrawn his candidacy from the Florida District 11 Congressional race today and endorsed E.J. Otero for Congress.

"With all of the knowledge and experience he draws from his time in the US Air Force, Otero is the best choice for Florida," Castellano said. "He has the common sense we need in Washington and the skiils to push the reform we need for the people, now more than ever. I hope you will join me in supporting Otero for congress, the best choice to represent Florida."

Due to health reasons, Castellano decided it would be best to withdraw his candidacy.  A former candidate in the 2010 election, Castellano decided to run as an Independent for the 2012 race against incumbent Betty Castor.  Castellano's withdrawal was not an easy decision.  

“The decision to withdraw from this race was not an easy decision.  I would like to sincerely thank all of my supporters, volunteers and neighbors for their belief and support of my election. I hope that you can understand and agree that this decision, while difficult, is the fairest thing to do for the residents of the 11th Congressional District."
