Over Fifty Percent of Job Opportunities Posted on Social Networks Not on Leading Job Search Sites
Social job search engine allows job seekers and recruiters to get their hands on “hidden” job opportunities first, all in one place
According to JobsMiner’s sampling of job listings, aggregated form the various social media platforms since their launch, more than 50 percent of job postings were not found on leading job search sites over a period of time. Software engineer, project manager, and nurse, each among the professions with the most listings, were found to have a considerably large percentage of "hidden" postings, 60%, 55%, and 65% respectively, unlisted on other leading sites. These “hidden” job postings, found in near real-time, are crucial for job seekers and recruiters to locate the best jobs and talent first. In addition, social media job postings are scattered over various networks making it difficult to navigate for jobs. With JobsMiner, all the relevant job postings on social media can be found in one place, with a single search.
“Social media is quickly becoming a mainstream resource for job seekers and recruiters,”
JobsMiner is the first, and only, job search engine that aggregates job postings directly from social networking sites such as Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Google+, blogs and forums. The JobsMiner development team led by CTO Shlomi Noach, a renowned MySQL expert who recently received Oracle’s “Technologist of The Year 2011” award, developed the monitoring and analysis solution that provides JobsMiner the ability to continuously monitor and expose the latest job openings on all relevant sites ahead of other job search engines. JobsMiner’s search capabilities are used to analyze unstructured text posts and, using the algorithmic technology, present them to the end user as a viable job offering with a link to the original post. This technology was developed based on years of experience with Makam, a leading service provider of online monitoring and research utilizing patent pending contextual technology.
