April 2, 2012 - PRLog -- There is good news for developers working with Team Foundation Service that comes along with Microsoft Visual Studio pack. The new version of this tool i.e. the Ultimate Pack will be contained with the functionality of “build-in-the-cloud” for generating more efficient services with SharePoint. The tool is currently almost developed and is being tested in the beta stage.

Once the tool will be out for sale, the Ultimate Pack will be shipped as an ongoing benefit to the customers. This feature pack will use IntelliTrace to debug codes for ensuring SharePoint Quality of Service in programs which will be run on any system and on any location. In the current previews provided, it looks quite promising for SharePoint Application Development ( The reason is that it is being primarily targeted at providing better comfort factor with authoring unit tests.

In a conference held by Microsoft, they have announced that the development team at their end is currently working on improving the diagnostic features which will let programmers modify the data collected by IntelliTrace. Mr. Atul Kumar, CEO of an Indian software development company ( quotes “With build-in-the-cloud functionality, IT vendors will no longer have to configure machines for making applications work on client-end”. He explains it further, adding that the introduction of cloud environment with Team Foundation Service will let developers apply modifications or make enhancements in just the cloud and you are ready to go.

You will no longer need to configure every single machine on client-end or get the code from them and then re-apply. The process of storing the repositories on the cloud and then making enhancements will do all the work. Any update can be made on the cloud and the end-user will just need to sign-in and start using it from there only. No need to get high-configuration systems or servers. It is safe and also beneficial for both the parties, he said.

As stated by Microsoft in the conference, they are now aiming at providing continuous flow of value and not just developing applications and then throwing them away. For experiencing all the features, you can download the beta version from Microsoft’s official site and the build-in-the-cloud feature can be checked with TFS preview.
