Austin Summer Math Camp at Oxford Learning

Oxford Learning announces its Austin summer math camps for 2012, with programs for elementary and middle school students.

April 1, 2012 - PRLog -- Oxford Learning is excited to announce its Austin summer math camps for 2012. With camps for both Elementary and Middle School students, Oxford is breaking ground with its innovative approach to summer fun.

Oxford Learning’s Austin summer math camps offer a fun and energetic environment for children to sharpen their math skills during the long summer break.  Math Camp is a great way to either catch up before the new school year, or stay sharp and get ahead.  They integrate activities, games, and teamwork so success comes easily to all types of learners.

Elementary math camp will take place 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday the week of July 30-August 3. Children in grades one through three will focus on concepts including: addition/subtraction, place value/regrouping, multiplication/division and word problem solving. Students in grades four and five will focus on multiplication/division, fractions, decimals and word problem solving.

Middle school math camp will take place 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday the week of August 6-10. Youth attending the camp will strengthen their understanding of: fractions/decimals, order of operations, exponents/roots and word problem solving.

Both weeks of camp take place at the Oxford Learning Austin South location, at 4301 W. William Cannon, B-220.
