Fiat 500 – Small Car Having Big Impact on US Market
A year after the much publicised re-launch of Fiat in the USA, there appear to be a number of positive signs that the brand is rapidly gaining popularity and doing what was previously considered impossible: selling a small car to the US market.
Last month (February 2012) Fiat celebrated its best month in the states to date in the with Fiat 500 unit sales of over 3,000. Head of Fiat in the USA, Timothy Kuniskis, claims that the Fiat 500 sales for March 2012 appear to be on track to do even better which would give Fiat another strong record month in a row.
This newsappears to be helping the brand to improve relations with car dealers across the Fiat US network. All dealers in the network took a big gamble in opening the expensive, stand-alone Fiat showrooms that feature a single model only, the Fiat 500.
This same network of Fiat dealers will soon be the ones who take on the relaunch of Alfa Romeo in America so it is key that the Fiat relaunch continues to run smoothly to pave the way for Alfa in the near future.
In recent months Fiat's eye-catching marketing campaigns have caught the attention of many customers and industry commentators alike. The TV ad featuring J Lo which was screened during the SuperBowl, has helped to raise awareness and enthusiasm of the Italian brand.
