The Executive Director’s primary responsibilities include leading the development of board, staff and volunteer infrastructure, assisting strategic planning for long-term sustainability, and overseeing the design and delivery of quality programs, as well as fundraising beyond program revenue, while working within the constitution, bylaws, guidelines and policies of the Club and its Board of Directors. This individual will have leadership skills that will enable them to assist in the development and successful execution of a comprehensive strategic plan, and implement policies and procedures that will guide and ensure the Club’s long-term sustainability as a professional football development organization. REQUIREMENTS: • A college degree or equivalent, preferably in marketing, business or public administration or in another business-related vocation from an accredited post-secondary educational institution. • Five or more years’ experience in leading and managing a non-profit volunteer-led organization is required, including strategic planning, human resources management and board development. Prior experience in the development of sports facilities or infrastructure is a plus. • Soccer accreditation (B Provincial or equivalent) is preferred. • Ability to pass a Criminal Record Check and experience with conflict resolution. • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills. • Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekend events, and be willing to travel as needed by the Club’s Board of Directors. • Canadian citizenship or equivalent resident status is absolutely required. •Strong leadership and management skills and above-average experience in: • Fundraising and grant applications • Financial administration, including budget development and management and preparation of monthly financial reporting • Youth football development • The organization and execution of multiple projects, tasks, and responsibilities simultaneously. • Managing, evaluating and motivating technical and office staff and support personnel. • The utilization of computer and website tools. • Managing and administering large events. REMUNERATION: WORK LOCATION: South Surrey, B.C. There will be reimbursement for work-related home office expenses.
