March 29, 2012 - PRLog -- Dallas, TX (www.eandhweek.org): Leaders from across the world will gather in Dallas for the second annual Engineering & Humanity Week (www.eandhweek.org) April 16-20, 2012. The program is open to people of all ages and interests and intends to help businesses, professionals, students and like-minded individuals to engage in the process of changing the world through technology and innovation.

The program will provide in-depth exposure to global economics, cultural awareness, collaborative leadership, and principles of sustainability.  “The week will showcase the power of engineering and innovation.  Tackling poverty locally and abroad will require finding practical solutions, engaging in collaboration with partners, and learning how to adapt quickly as innovative solutions fail or succeed,” says Stephanie Hunt, the event’s founder and chairwoman.  “We think everyone who participates will be better equipped to fight poverty and find sustainable solutions that will benefit all parties involved.”

Events Include:

March 8    Cardboard Art/Furniture/Objects Design Competition (open to all ages)
April 14   Spirit of Uganda Concert, Empower African Children's professional training and touring group, at McFarlin Auditorium at SMU
