Noize Entertainment Expo Debuts at Musician's Institute Saturday, April 28th, 2012

March 28, 2012 - PRLog -- (Hollywood, CA; March 28, 2012) - Noize Entertainment Expo 2012, an action-packed music and film conference featuring expert speakers, panelists and workshops on topics in music business, recording, production, publishing, songwriting and film & TV production, will debut at Musician's Institute on Saturday, April 28, 2012. During this one-day event attendees can participate in various workshops, discussions with top industry professionals, one-on-one mentoring sessions, enjoy a prestigious pre-selected artist showcase and more. The expo will also feature a drum competition open to all levels of skilled drummers as apart of the "Icon Music Awards: Drum Edition" with celebrity judges. Confirmed expo participants include professionals from Interscope Records, RCA Records, BET Networks, SESAC, BMI, EMI Music, Peermusic, Screen Actors Guild, Writer's Guild, and more to be announced. Musicians, songwriters, gear heads, music producers, film and TV producers, directors and videographers are encouraged to attend. A portion of proceeds will be donated to Give To Live, a non-profit organization dedicated to reduce poverty and edify the undereducated youth across the United States (givetoliveblessed.org).

The expo's Icon Music Awards: Drum Edition (IMA) will be apart of an on-going effort to positively benefit musicians by providing a platform to showcase their talent and grit in front of industry professionals. The competition is open to skilled drummers of all ages and styles. Each contestant will play in front of a live audience and celebrity judges. The panel of judges will crown the winner as the 2012 Drum Icon with a grand prize that includes $1,000 in cash, and an endorsement from Soultone Cymbals. The competition will be open for all Noize Entertainment Expo ticket holders only, and will begin at 6pm on Saturday, April 28, 2012. Noize Expo Entertainment 2012 will also choose six artists to showcase in front of a live audience with top label executives.
