March 28, 2012 - PRLog -- Yesterday, NorthShore Studios expressed a formal interest in producing the feature film ‘All Saints Eve’, a horror script originally written by native Pittsburgh screenwriter, Elizabeth Rossi.   While still nailing down the particulars, NorthShore is in talks with Nick Stagliano to direct the project, has recognized actors for the leading roles, and is planning on cameo appearances from several pop-phenomena reality TV stars.

Production manager Bruce Koehler states, “We’re excited about this project and have been speaking with Liz over the past year regarding the possibility of producing the script.  She‘s a very talented writer.”

The film synopsis reads:  It’s the late 1800’s when a sinister preacher enrages a church mob to murder a farmer and his family on the false suspicion of witchcraft…all in the “name of the Lord” but really all to gain the coveted farmland to exploit its resources. In his dying breathe, the farmer incites an evil curse and vows his vengeance.  An eerie calm settles over the land for centuries until one fateful night when the curse is accidentally unleashed and a group of misfit friends must fight to stay alive, discover the truth, and solve the criminal mystery before it’s too late.

Principal photography is planned for locations within the rural foothills of western Pennsylvania, which has recently been dubbed the “Hollywood of the East”.  Celebrities such as Tom Cruise, Christian Bail, Denzel Washington, Katherine Heigl, and Russell Crowe have all starred in films produced in the region.  These projects have taken advantage of the area’s diverse landscapes as well as the attractive state tax credits…something Rossi and NorthShore also hope to take advantage of.

Delayed production attempts have left many horror fans wondering when the project will be picked-up again and released, including Rossi.  “I feel confident that NorthShore has the skills and talent to get the job done.” says Rossi.  NorthShore brings with them multiple years of experience, having released five feature films in the horror genre over the past five years, and has recently opened their newly refurbished studio facility which boasts Hollywood-level shooting and post technology.

“We are planning to shoot the project on the Red One Mysterium Cinema Camera”.  “We have the production capabilities…, it’s the funding that is always a key issue with any project.” Koehler adds, “We’re actively seeking additional production funding sources to launch the project and get started.” Investors can expect the standard ROI’s as well as the usual Hollywood perks such as time spent on set, rubbing shoulders with the cast, as well as parties and red carpet events.
