Free Easter Egg Hunt, Bonnet Contest, Hayrides, Farm Animals & More At Heaven Hill Farm April 7

March 28, 2012 - PRLog -- Vernon, New Jersey, April 7, 2012 – Get hopping this spring at the annual Easter Egg Hunt at Heaven Hill Farm on Saturday, April 7, 2012. The Easter Bunny will be up early that morning, blanketing the fields with thousands of brightly colored treat-filled Easter eggs. Join everyones favorite cottontail here at the farm for a day of excitement: visit with farm animals, take a hayride across the pastoral landscape, enter the Easter Bonnet Contest, and, of course, search for treats at the Easter Egg Hunt.

Bestow your eager little ones with their favorite basket for this holiday treasure hunt so they can fill it with special candy and prize-filled eggs. Discover the “golden” eggs and take home one of many extra special surprises including a fluffy stuffed animal or a FREE gem mining adventure at the Gem Mining Sluice where all panned gems are yours to keep. Egg hunts are organized into two separate age groups with four hunts scheduled throughout the afternoon.

Egg Hunts are scheduled on the hour:
~12:00 noon   ~1:00 pm     ~2:00 pm   ~3:00 pm

“With the early onset of the springlike weather we’ve been having, we anticipate crowds in record numbers who just can’t help but take advantage of the fresh country air at Heaven Hill Farm,” comments Phyllis Emmerich, Outdoor Lifestyles Manager. Easter falls early in the month calling on everyone to head out to the great outdoors. Emmerich ensures, “The spring seasons most family fun-packed event always offers a bounty of sweet treats for all.” Admission to the egg hunt and Easter bonnet contest are FREE.


Testify that it’s truly the beginning of spring by sporting a hand-crafted Easter Bonnet to Heaven Hills’ annual Easter Bonnet Contest. Participants parade through the greenhouse clad in their finest and frilliest creations at 1:30 PM on the day of the Easter Egg Hunt, where bonnets will be judged on creativity and individuality by the Easter Bunny and his helpers.

More egg-citing farm activities, including hayrides along the bunny trail, feeding the farm animals, creating customized sand art, sitting for a holiday style face painting session, panning for gemstones at the Heaven Hill Farm Gem Mining Sluice and carnival rides for the young and young-at-heart, round out the activities.

Hayrides are scheduled hourly:
~12:30 pm   ~1:30 pm   ~2:30 pm

Spring blooms are the final affirmation that winter is over. Boldly colorful tulips, daffodils, hyacinths, Easter lilies and more spring varieties fill the farm market. It’s pansy planting time and the greenhouses are bursting with a rainbow of vibrant multicolored blossoms.
