March 28, 2012 - PRLog -- London, UK – 28th March 2012 - Nexenta Systems, the world’s leading provider of OpenStorage solutions for the enterprise, has won ‘Most Improved Company of the Year’ at the Network Computing Awards. It also was runner up in the ‘New Product of the Year’ category with its flagship OpenStorage platform NexentaStor 3.1.

Now in its fifth year, the awards, which are hosted by the UK’s Network Computing Magazine, were presented at a ceremony on 22nd March at Hotel Russell, London.
The awards recognise the hardware, software, services, and the companies behind them, which have most impressed the readers of the UK’s longest established computer networking publication.

The win is a reflection of Nexenta’s continued successes. It recently announced that sales were up by 410 percent from 2010 and that it had grown its partner and employee numbers in Europe. It also added a slate of seasoned executives to its management ranks and strengthened its more than 4,000-member customer list.

Evan Powell, CEO, Nexenta, said: "I would like to thank Network Computing for this prestigious award. I would also like to thank our UK resellers, including VA Technologies, NAS UK, Boston, and Dell, for using NexentaStor as a part of their customers’ solutions. Together, we are bringing choice and openness, massive scalability and superior data integrity to enterprises coping with explosive data growth.  Today's announcement is really an award for the broader OpenStorage movement, which Nexenta is proud to lead."
