Member Business Lending CUSOs to Meet

March 28, 2012 - PRLog -- Members of the Regional CUSO Alliance (RCA) meet once or twice a year to exchange best practices and address industry challenges and opportunities. Mark Bostock, President of Colorado based Centennial Lending, and one of the founding members of the RCA group, cites the importance of the group and gathering.  "We're in the business of helping credit unions compete and grow.  CUSOs helping CUSOs is an unselfish collaboration model that allows credit unions to benefit from a collective effort.”

In attendance at the meeting will be representatives from NCUA and National Association of State Credit Union Supervisors.  "Our group has had great exchanges with regional and national regulators and examiners at previous gatherings and we are delighted to continue that collaborative dialogue in May," notes Bill Beardsley, President of Michigan Business Connection, the host CUSO for the event.  

The focus of May’s meeting will be to review and discuss the current lending climate and regulatory initiatives.  At past meetings attendees have worked together to develop shared underwriting standards, participation processes and agreements, regulatory documents and much more.

The Regional CUSO Alliance was formed in 2009 with the mission to collaborate in business lending by leveraging local knowledge and shared expertise to promote sound lending practices to credit unions in the communities they serve.  One of its founding beliefs is to promote sound loan participation capability within the industry, with specific focus on serving local market needs and small participation increments.
