Follow on Google News | JCK to Launch LUXURY Privé Panama in October 2012Leading jewelry trade show organization JCK Events announced today that it will launch a new show, LUXURY Privé Panama, this coming October. The show will focus on establishing relationships with Latin American retailers.
By: Caroline Tracy LUXURY Privé, a by invitation-only event, is JCK Events’ solution for the most upscale manufacturers and retailers. The Show portfolio, which also includes LUXURY Privé New York, has selected to expand to Panama, as the country’s central location will allow access to the top independent luxury retailers in Central and South America, in addition to Mexico and the Caribbean. “As the gateway to Latin America, Panama boasts a number of benefits, from its status as a safe, sophisticated tourist and business destination to its adherence of US currency,” explains Dave Bonaparte, Senior Vice President of JCK. “All of these factors, not to mention the ideal weather conditions, make it an appealing market for brands to establish, maintain and grow relationships.” Brands such as Mikimoto, Stephen Webster, Chimento, JB Star, Brumani and Aaron Basha are among the 50 select exhibitors signed on to exhibit, offering retailers a one-on-one personal opportunity to learn about these brands which are new to the region. LUXURY Privé Panama is specifically targeting top retailers from Latin America, including Argentina, Brazil, Bolivia, Colombia, Chile, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Peru, Paraguay, Venezuela, Uruguay, Mexico and the Caribbean. Over 40 top retailers were eager to register to attend early on, including Anabella, Imperiale, Mercurio, Motta and Barakat from Panama; Carranza & Carranza, Daniel & Hijos, Liverpool and Maraf from Mexico; and Tropicana Jewelers in the Caribbean. “We were extremely pleased to learn that JCK is providing an outlet and opportunity to pursue business in this emerging market and are excited to see what business transpires come October.” Says Aaron Reed, Senior Vice President – Trade from Mikimoto. The Show, like its first foray, LUXURY Privé New York, will be an exclusive, invitation only event. 150 hosted retailers can expect to conduct business in an intimate and opulently styled environment where only the finest jewelry will be on display. “We are looking forward to meeting and working with the notable roster of global brands slated to exhibit at the Show. They will no doubt be impressed by our country’s (and the region in general) evolved sense of sophistication and glamour. The Westin Playa Bonita is the perfect setting to provide a luxurious, yet intimate atmosphere that is conducive to business transactions,” In addition to the sales aspect of the event, networking and educational sessions will be at the forefront of the Show’s agenda. A series of Customized Exhibitor pre-show “education seminars will include information on “How to Sell in the Latin American Market” as part of the Show’s collaboration with AMBIO, the international business development consultancy headed by Paolo Novembri. The 4-day event will commence on Sunday, October 21st with a welcome reception, followed by the Show’s official opening on Monday, October 22nd.
