Spring Break Camp
Experience 180 acres of spring break fun! Day campers get face-to-face with a Gila monster, explore nature, make crafts, act out with Drama Kids and go for an indoor swim at the neighboring Y. Camps are presented in partnership with Drama Kids International and the YMCA. Ages 6-12. April 2 - 6, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. daily.* $180 members, $200 non-members. *Extended after-hours care available 6:30-9 am and 4-6:30 p.m. for an additional $25/week.

Springs Preserve EggStravaganza
Hop on by for an EggScavenger Hunt for kids of all ages, Egg Hunt (kids 5-under), bunny petting pen, pictures with the Easter Bunny, face painting, arts and crafts, food, live entertainment and much more. Made possible in part by the generous support of MGM Resorts International.  Saturday, April 7, 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.  Adults free, kids access activity pass $8 members, $10 non-members. General admission required for museums and galleries.

Easter Brunch at the Springs Cafe
Celebrate Easter with a spectacular brunch featuring grilled lamb chops, pan-seared salmon, roasted pork loin, cooked-to-order omelettes, an assortment of desserts and other sustainable dining delights. After brunch, stroll through our free, open-air art exhibit in the Gardens. Sunday, April 8, 10:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. $24.95 adults, $12.95 children 6-12, Age 5 and under free. Special Appearance! Apollo 15 Astronaut Al Worden
Fans of space exploration shouldn’t miss this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity! NASA astronaut and spacewalker Al Worden shares his career experiences—which include his 1971 mission as command module pilot for Apollo 15, the most scientifically productive lunar mission during what many consider the “Golden Age” of NASA. Our Big Springs Theater seats just 156, ensuring you a very personal, up-close glimpse into space history. After his presentation, Worden leads guests on a private tour of our SPACE exhibit. Saturday, April 14, 7 – 9 p.m.  $25 adult members and $30 adult non-members, includes Worden’s book “Falling to Earth: An Apollo Astronaut’s Journey to the Moon”; $15 youth under age 18 (without book).

Dia del Nino
Celebrate children with clowns and magicians, dancing and singing groups, interactive games, traditional Latino food and drink, hands-on arts and crafts and much more. Made possible in part by the generous support of Cox Communications, El Tiempo, View and NV Energy. Saturday, April 28, 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. In advance: $5 adults, $3 children 5-12, free age 4-under. General admission required for museums and galleries.

Bet on the Farm – Farmers Market at the Springs Preserve
Join us for Mario Batali & Joe Bastianich’s truly sustainable farmers market, Bet on the Farm, every Thursday at the Springs Preserve. Seasonal offerings, regionally and locally grown include fruits, vegetables, herbs, fresh eggs, honey, nuts, dates, locally roasted coffee, and many more delectable treats. Every Thursday, 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. inside the Desert Living Center. Access to the market is free. Purchases are cash only.

Mommy and Me and Springs Preserve Makes Three
Bring your little ones for kid-friendly activities and stories—new themes weekly! It’s a perfect time for family fun before or after you shop at our Thursday Farmers Market. Ages 5-under recommended. 11-11:30 a.m. Thursdays in the Activity Center. April 5 – Ladybug, Ladybug, April 12 – Cowboy Storytime, April 19 – Bubble Fun,April 26 – Art Outdoors. Free for members or included with general admission.

Bike Rentals on the Exploration Loop Trail
Let the good times roll as you rent bikes and wheel on down our 2.2 mile Exploration Loop Trail! Keep your eyes open for birds, wildlife and breathtaking views as you follow in the path of adventurous explorers and ancient peoples drawn to the artesian waters of the spring. Weekends and holidays, 10 a.m. – dusk or 6 p.m., whichever comes first. Bike rental is $6 members/ $8 nonmembers per hour, includes helmet. Child carrier rentals are available. Personal bikes are not permitted on the Trails.

SPACE: A Journey to Our Future
Ignite your desire for discovery and dream of the possibilities that lie ahead... in SPACE! Find yourself launched into the future of space exploration in this out-of-this-world, interactive experience, only at the Springs Preserve. Touch a lunar sample, step onto the "Moon Scale," take a spin in the centrifuge and create your own mission to Mars. This far-out exhibit is produced by Evergreen Exhibitions in collaboration with NASA and is made possible by General Motors Corp., Lockheed Martin and local sponsor Arcata Associates, Inc. Exhibit on display through May 13, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. daily in the Origen Museum. Free for members or included with General Admission (GA).

SPACE: A Journey to Our Future – Feature Film
SPACE: A Journey to Our Future (6 min.) shares how the space travels of today and yesterday help us to look far into the future of our exploration of the universe. Continuous showings daily, starting at 10 a.m. Free for members or included with GA.

Trash to Treasure – The Sculptures of Dave Thompson
Artist Dave Thompson transforms old metal into magic. His recycled-object sculptures fill the Gardens with wonder and whimsy. Take a stroll and see what hidden treasures await! Exhibit on display in the Gardens through May 20, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. daily. Access to this exhibit is free.

Nevada Watercolor Society Spring Show
The Springs Preserve is proud to present an exquisite array of watercolor paintings representing the 2012 Nevada Watercolor Society. See the works of local artists exploring still life, abstracts, portraits and landscapes utilizing the colors of the desert. On display through May 6,10 a.m. – 6 p.m. daily in the Origen Museum. Free for members or included with GA.

Wings over the Springs – Live Bird of Prey Show
Meet and greet hawks, eagles, falcons, owls, ravens and more, and witness free-flight demonstrations at the Springs Preserve’s Wings over the Springs live bird of prey show. This exciting demonstration will expose you to the beauty of these amazing creatures and enhance your understanding of the role these majestic birds of prey play in sustaining our environment. Visitors will see a variety of birds that include: Eurasian Eagle Owl, Gyr Falcon, Saker Falcon, Barbary Saker Falcon, Lanner Barbary, African Hawk Eagle, Barbary, Red Necked Falcon, African Crow Raven. Shows take place Saturdays and Sundays at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., through April, daily for April 2 – 6 for Spring Break, check www.springspreserve.org for more information. Wings over the Springs Backstage Pass - A Bird Encounter
Love our raptor show? Then make sure you get a Backstage Pass to spend quality time up close and personal with these unique and rarely seen raptors. Offered Saturdays and Sundays at 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. throughout April, daily April 2 – 6 for Spring Break,. **Backstage Pass:  $10 members and non-members with paid general admission. A paying adult must accompany children under 5. All guests 2-up must be ticketed for the Backstage Pass and children’s classes.

Animal Feeding Demonstrations
Join our zoologists for feeding sessions with the animals in our native and desert-adapted live animal exhibits. Saturdays and Sundays at 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. throughout April. Free for members or included with GA.
