By: Pumpkin Communications Chennai, Mar’ 26, 2012: Pumpkin Communications, a Brand Communications Company, organized a Treasure Hunt, “The TAFE Hunt – Season 2” for TAFE Limited, the Tractor Manufacturing major in Chennai on the 23rd March 2012 at their Factory premises in Huzur Gardens, Sembiam, Chennai. 19 Teams hunted for the treasure across the 200 acre estate, which is rich in flora and fauna. The hunt’s theme was enterprise-centric: The TAFE HR, Mr. Joseph observed, “Last year, the agency had designed a Chennai-wide hunt and TAFEiians enjoyed re-discovering the great city they live in. Drawing inspiration from the “rediscovery” The TAFE Hunt had 2 phases. Phase 1, had 2 rounds of Pre-hype that were carried out to drive Participation. Posters with wild wild west feel, re-creating the gold rush days were put-up in and around the premises. The 2nd phase threw up a qualifying round, where the participants were given a set of questions to crack out. The Qualifying round proved to be an effective pre-cursor of the adrenalin-pumping adventure that was to follow. On the D-day March 23, 2012 the Hunt was flagged off at 3.00 pm by the GM-Materials Mr. Thirumalai. Pumpkin’s representatives briefed the “Hunters” about the rules of the Hunt, Do’s & Dont’s, how to use the Help line and other hunt-related aspects. As the Hunt began, the Hunters erupted with excitement as they got their first clues to start the Hunt. They went on a roller-coaster ride of fun, thrill and exhilaration, as they not only had to explore the nooks and cronies of the Sembiam Plant, but they also had to dig in, climb trees, crawl and hang to get their respective clues. There was also a virtual clue at the end of the Hunt where in each team had to access the internet to get it and crack it. Team ‘Kattu Poochies’ and Team ‘Discover’ “Of course, a few complained that they were not able to find clues, crack clues; but the energy-stored air at the Valedictory event was a testimony to the fact that TAFE was looking forward to more such adventures in the future as well.
