Taap.it has introduced a multitude of interactive features to allow users to share their specific interactions with foods, events, and items in their area. In a clean, easy to use interface, users can now easily document their experiences.

March 27, 2012 - PRLog -- Since its re-launch last week, Taap.it has introduced a multitude of interactive features to allow users to share their specific interactions with foods, events, and items in their area. In a clean, easy to use interface, users can now easily document their experiences, follow friends, look for deals, and compete in weekly contests.
"How many times do you find a 5-star restaurant on Yelp?" ask Debbie Tran.  "And when you get there, you have no idea what to order on the menu.  Taap.it helps you to look into further inside a place.  The process of discovery, review, and documentation are pretty much the same with Yelp or Foursquare, who provides reviews and tips on places.  But Taap.it is all about the interesting things, items, dishes, decorations, or just any details inside those places."
Established in late 2011, Taap.it was originally introduced as a mobile marketplace.  Recently, Taap.it pivoted to be a mobile journal that lets you document, rate and share all the specific things that you do on the go.  
Unlike other apps like Foursquare and Yelp, which very much focus on "places", Taap.it entirely focuses on "things" inside those "places".  Taap.it goes beyond telling someone where you are.  It is about sharing what you are doing while you are there.  
For example, instead of sharing you're at Starbucks, you can give a 5-star rating specifically to the Caramel Frappuccino you’re having at Starbucks; instead of sharing you're at Macy's, you can brag to your friends about the new Coach Colette Hobo bag you just bought at Macy's.
"Taap.it works well with other apps like Foursquare or Yelp, which help you to find places to go to in the first place," said Debbie Tran, Community Manager at Taap.it.  "Taap.it then helps you to continue the experience (post-checkin) - what to do after you are inside the place.  So for example, after you find a great sushi restaurant to go to in your neighborhood, now you can use Taap.it to document and share what you're doing while you are there.  In addition, you can also see which dishes are the highest rated by other people."
Taap.it is fully integrated with all your existing social networks. With one tap of a button all of your friends and followers on Facebook, Twitter, and Foursquare will know exactly what you doing.
With over 5,000 local businesses and over 4 million items in its database in the New York City area.  It's currently available on iPhone and Android
