TF South to Host 2012 Student Art Show

Thornton Fractional South will host its annual student art show on Monday, March 26th and Tuesday, March 27 in celebration of Youth Art Month.

March 26, 2012 - PRLog -- Lansing, IL - The art department of Thornton Fractional South (TF South) High School will host its 2012 Student Art Show from Monday, March 26 through Tuesday, March 27 in the school’s Grand Lobby.

The show, which is free and open to the public on Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., will feature work from TF South art students in various mediums. An awards presentation will take place promptly at 7:00 p.m. in the school auditorium where one piece of artwork will receive the coveted “People’s Choice Award”, based on votes cast by TF South students.

Each year the school hosts this event, in celebration of Youth Art Month. Across the nation schools, libraries, and art museums display student art and host various events during Youth Art Month to promote student art and art education.

Art teacher Mark Misch and the rest of the TF South art department are looking forward to displaying the hard work and creativity of the students. Selected pieces featured in this year’s show, those labeled with a red dot, will be available for sale.
