Scottsdale, AZ:  Internationally acclaimed co-author of Rich Dad Poor Dad, Sharon Lechter, who works in collaboration with the Napoleon Hill Foundation to deliver a message of hope and financial wellness across the globe, will serve as keynote speaker at the MTN - Business World Executive Breakfast in Ghana on March 22, 2012.  MTN is Ghana’s leading telecommunications company; Business World is Ghana’s most popular business magazine.

Speaking to a crowd of 200-plus business executives and entrepreneurs, Lechter will address the theme, “Getting your Finances Right.” She will share the podium with her husband, Michael Lechter, a leading intellectual property U.S. attorney, certified licensing professional, university professor and best-selling author, who served as an advisor to the original Rich Dad series.

“I’m passionate about traveling to Ghana because they were recognized in 2011 by the World Bank as enjoying the fastest growing economy in Africa.  My message to the business community is the same one I promote everywhere; that you can control your own destiny by grabbing the education, and building the knowledge, to take care of your finances.  And they’ve got to be wary of the “sudden wealth syndrome,” said Mrs. Lechter.

According to Africa Business Communities’ website, the Executive Breakfast series is an initiative of Business World magazine in partnership with MTN to provide a platform for executive briefings, networking and business matching for CEOs, senior management professionals, entrepreneurs and government officials.

While in Ghana, Lechter will also speak to 200-300 middle and high school aged children participating in Ghana’s SOS Villages program.  An independent, non-governmental and social development organization, SOS has served disadvantaged and orphaned children since 1949.

“I love speaking with children; and my mission is to ensure they receive the information, education and tools they need to build a future for themselves,” said Mrs. Lechter.  Empowering confidence, Lechter will teach the kids an acronym to inspire their presentation and communication skills, BEFAB, which stand for:

This is the Lechters’ second trip to Africa in a year’s time; the two traveled to Uganda in September 2011, to speak at the Sixth Annual Financial Literacy Week.  “It’s fun – I’m amazed at how many kids in Africa have read, Rich Dad Poor Dad!” said Mrs. Lechter.
