Adoption STAR's Sue Shaw Promoted to Birth Parent Department Supervisoriucvw

March 22, 2012 - PRLog -- Adoption STAR, Inc. is pleased to announce the promotion of Susan Shaw to the position of Birth Parent Department Supervisor, based in its Williamsville, New York office.

Sue will be responsible for supervising the staff and interns assisting her department as well as the overall management of the department.  Sue has been with Adoption STAR for over 5 ½ years and has touched the lives of many clients.  Additionally, Sue brings with her a total of over 20 years of professional experience in the child welfare field. Sue has been an active member of CAFFA (Coalition of Adoption and Foster Family Agencies) and has participated on several CAFFA committees on behalf of Adoption STAR.

Sue works directly with expectant parents providing them counseling, referrals and support throughout their pregnancies. Expectant parents who select adoption work with Sue to make an adoption plan that includes selecting an adoptive family. Sue provides ongoing support to the agency’s birth families including planning several annual events such as the Birth Family Holiday Party and the ever-popular Birth Mother’s Day Celebration.

She holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Human Development and Family Relations from Buffalo State College.
