March 21, 2012 - PRLog -- Clearwater, FL – Thousands of car audio fanatics will swarm to Daytona Beach this weekend for 2012 Spring Break Nationals, one of the biggest car audio competitions of the year and an annual event renowned for its flashy cars, booming music and gorgeous women. It’s on this stage that Phoenix Gold® ( plans to blow away attendees and exhibitors alike with a tremendous showing that includes a custom 2011 Jeep Wrangler, the PG Powerwheels minicar, and a top secret sonic bass demonstrator known only as “The Devastator.” Phoenix Gold can be found at booth 4400, directly across from the SBN main stage.

No vehicle screams “Spring Break in Florida!” like a rag-top Jeep. That’s why Phoenix Gold® commissioned Underground Audio and Video ( of Sarasota, Florida to take a shell-white Siesta Key Edition 2011 Jeep Wrangler and trick it out with Phoenix Gold SD-Series mini amps; SL-Series 12-inch, slim-mount subwoofers, and audiophile-quality Ti-series speakers. The whole system is powered by Stinger® batteries and accessories, and topped-off by a flush mounted and motorized iPad to control the audio.

At the Consumer Electronics Show earlier this year in Las Vegas, Phoenix Gold won hearts and applause with the debut of a Powerwheels minicar Jeep decked out with a fully functional Phoenix Gold sound system. Designed to showcase the light weight and massive power of SD-Series amps, the PG Powerwheels minicar Jeep will make an appearance at Spring Break Nationals alongside its larger counterpart. The PG Powerwheels minicar Jeep will feature a single SD-Series amplifier mounted in the hood that drives a single 10-inch R1-series subwoofer and four Ti-series speakers in the rear. Finally, Phoenix Gold will be unveiling a sonic bass demonstrator currently known only as “The Devastator.” While the details of the system are being held under tight reins by Phoenix Gold representatives, they have gone on record as saying it will feature Ti-Series subwoofers and two of the brand’s new Elite-Series amplifiers. According to Jay Dawson, Marketing and Trade Show Director for Phoenix Gold parent company, AAMP of America, “If I had to describe The Devastator in one word, it would be ‘deadly.’ In building it, our engineers have created one of the most massive, most overpowered systems I’ve seen in all my years in the industry. There’s no doubt in my mind that The Devastator will be a huge draw, and that fans will walk away with nothing but respect for Phoenix Gold subs and amplifiers.”

Phoenix Gold has pushed the limits of high-performance mobile audio since it was first founded back in 1985. The perfect fusion of retro styling and state of the art technology, Phoenix Gold amplifiers, subwoofers and speakers deliver solid reliability, gorgeous sound quality and massive performance.
