Heritage Hotel in Southbury, Connecticut Offering New Health & Wellness Weekend Packages Year-Round

March 21, 2012 - PRLog -- The luxurious, upscale Heritage Hotel in the bucolic rolling hills of Southbury, Connecticut is offering a year-round special health and wellness-themed weekend package. Offered Fridays through Sundays to individuals and couples, the package includes accommodations, specially created health menus, luxurious amenities and spa services at the on-premise Très Jolie Day Spa.

The hotel’s new year-round Health and Wellness Package features a special in-room spa amenity collection, in-room herbal teas, a relaxing CD, plus take-home bathrobe and slippers. Amanda Pindar, Heritage Hotel Health Club Sales Manager, explained that the special package also includes one invigorating spa service at the award-winning Très Jolie Day Spa. “Health & Wellness weekend guests can choose a private 60-minute body massage, a 60-minute facial, or a spa manicure and pedicure.”

Throughout the weekend, each Health & Wellness Package guest will receive six customized Light & Healthy meals created by Heritage Hotel’s Executive Chef William Schwalm and Certified Nutritionist Christine Boisits. Chef William commented, “We have created the customized Light & Healthy Menu for our Health & Wellness guests in order to help them obtain their wellness goals through nutrition. We want each guest to leave here with healthy, innovative meal options to incorporate into their daily routine.”

Health & Wellness guests are also offered a personalized, one-on-one training consultation or individual training session with Heritage Hotel Certified Personal Trainer Susan Schimmel. “My goal,” stated Ms. Schimmel, “is to provide each guest with the knowledge, skills, guidance, support and motivation to ensure they reach their full potential of living a healthy lifestyle.”

The Heritage Hotel Health Club is open to all guests at the resort and offers cardio workouts and a strength training weight room, heated indoor pool and whirlpool. Separate areas to Women’s and Men’s locker rooms feature sauna and steam rooms.  Participating Health & Wellness guests are also offered optional participation in Heritage Hotel’s Saturday morning Pilates class.

Guests can also hike, walk or run on designated routes that surround the beautiful Heritage Hotel property. “Our year-round resort,” commented Pindar, “features a heated seasonal outdoor pool, tennis courts, mountain biking, bocce ball, horseshoes and indoor racquetball courts.”

Rates for Heritage Hotel Health & Wellness Package weekends start at $599/weekend for a single guest. Double person rates begin at $999 for the weekend. Taxes are not included in these rates, and 15% lodging tax and 6.35% sales tax will be applied. The rates for these special Health & Wellness Packages are subject to possible seasonal changes.

The Heritage Hotel’s accommodations and resort amenities are enjoyed by corporate guests and vacationers alike. Recently the upscale hotel renovated their 163 guest rooms and suites to enhance the comfort and enjoyment of their guests year-round. Room accommodations range from one king or two full-size beds to junior suites. Suites are also available that feature a private Jacuzzi and a hospitality parlor that overlook the Pomperaug River which runs through the resort’s property and the Pomperaug Golf Course.
