Virtual Instruments to Address the Importance of Storage Performance at SNW Spring 2012

Company to Showcase Latest 3.1 Release of the VirtualWisdom Infrastructure Optimization Platform

March 20, 2012 - PRLog -- Virtual Instruments, the leader in virtual infrastructure optimization solutions, will be presenting and exhibiting at Computerworld’s upcoming SNW Spring conference on April 2-5, 2012 in Dallas.

In his Tuesday Storage Management Track session, Stew Carless, solution architect at Virtual Instruments, will explain new approaches to extracting key performance, utilization and transmission error metrics related to the SAN storage infrastructure that enable optimization of storage management processes.  He will also discuss how access to this vital information will not only improve the infrastructure, but also change day-to-day storage management processes from reactive to proactive.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to experience Virtual Instruments’ products in one of the SNW Hands-on Lab sessions that will take place throughout the week (see schedule below).  The “Storage Implications for Server Virtualization” Hands-on Labs will guide participants through exercises that illustrate ways to overcome SAN and storage challenges in deploying, maintaining, and optimizing a virtualized environment. Virtual Instruments will deliver personalized education and training in this collaborative setting.

In addition, Virtual Instruments will demonstrate its VirtualWisdom 3.1 SAN monitoring and performance optimization platform in booth #312. VirtualWisdom enables IT managers to obtain a holistic view of their physical and virtual infrastructure in real time, which maximizes ROI by reducing operational and capital costs. Product demos will show the effect of infrastructure optimization metrics on the performance, utilization and availability of a SAN storage environment as measured by the VirtualWisdom SAN Performance Probe, SAN Availability Probe and Virtual Server Probe.
