STAR TV desperately trying to seek TRP ratings on Survivor

March 18, 2012 - PRLog -- With the finale of the survivor around Star TV is desperately trying to rake up controversies in order to get TRP ratings. The recent spat between Payal Rohatgi and Munisha Khatwani has been one such incident. Survivor India website has posted the rift between Payal Rohatgi and Munisha Khatwani and industry news is that they tried to encash on the incident to boost the TRP’s. Now a days , the channel TRP war has reached alarming proportion and TV channels have left no stone unturned to create a controversy. Surprisingly the Payal Rohatgi and Munisha Khatwani controversy suddenly came up and died down. Rohit and Abhinav also were allies to Munisha khatwani who filed an FIR against Payal for her comments on social networking site twitter. Munisha khatwani got the most offensive comments on Survivor India site especially after her public tiff with Payal and played against her as her spiritually balanced person image who is into tarot card reading c see that ame down badly in the public opinion. Meanwhile it seems that Star TV engineered the controversy and created a hype inorder to boost the TRP ratings in the final stages. Survivor India is already a part of the Survivor show which was started 11 years ago and in 48 countries and is considered to be the toughest and the most prestigious reality show in the world. Critically analyzing it is clear that the show masterminded the visuals and footage focusing only on the nasty events and also happenings that created controversies. The positive aspects of the contestants were not much highlighted . During the course of the show, contestants were chased and scrutinized to find moments wherein they could create a controversy. Munisha Payal episode is clearly an engineered one wherein Munisha seems to have been used by Star Tv to create a controversy along with Abhinav and Timmy. Abhinav went up to a level were in he swore not to let payal go easily but in next one week time everything finished off suddenly which clearly indicates that it was a TRP boosting exercise. Viewers have become much more intelligent and matured and don’t succumb to the tactics of TRP boosting by the TV channels. It has been observed that the pattern of everything starting off on a positive note turns nasty and then there are high’s and lows that the TV channels try to take viewers through. It high time that such tactics need to be played down by viewers and go against the psychological exploitation by the TV channels.
