Last Year We Made a Difference!
Thanks to the 77 riders and 34 volunteers that made the first One Can Make a Difference charity event a success!  We raised $1734.00 in donations and canned goods!  100% of that benefited The Fellowship Center in Gonzales.  The Fellowship Center was very happy to receive the donation and noted that it was just in time for the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays!

Let’s Make a Difference this Year!
Last year's success is a huge motivator for this year.  This year we have teamed up with the Future Business Leaders of America club at East Ascension High School.  The goals we have are to double event registration and donations.  We will do this by offering more events to participate in.  This year we will donate 60% of entry fees and 100% canned goods to The Fellowship Center located in Gonzales, LA.  20% will go towards research for the March of Dimes foundation and the remaining 20% will help send students, in the Future Business Leaders of America club at East Ascension High School, to state competition.

What’s New!
New event site offers more room and safer routes!  Lamar Dixon Expo Center is an amazing place that will be an excellent venue for this year’s race!  This year we added two more events so:  Everyone Can Make a Difference.  One Can Charity now proudly offers a 5K, a Duathlon, and a 30 mile bike ride!  We will have locally prepared pre and post-race food along with pit stops staffed with helpful volunteers on every course!  Also new to this year’s race is a medical tent staffed with ER nurses from Baton Rouge’s Ochsner Medical Center.  This year’s grand raffle prize is a FREE night stay at the acclaimed Bocage Plantation.  Bocage is a historic antebellum home and is a generous sponsor that is with us again this year.  Those that participate in the 30 mile bike ride will have amazing views of this B&B at the final pit-stop/ turn around.

How Can You Make a Difference?
April 14, 2012 join us in helping take care of those in our community and neighboring Americans! Please sign up to participate in the 30-mile bike ride, duathlon or 5K run.  If the events do not appeal to you but you want to help, then consider sponsoring someone, donating canned goods, or simply making a donation.  For more information and register online, please visit our website at http://www.1CanCharity.org.  We are also on Facebook at One Can Make a Difference.

Please make all checks payable to EAHS. Please mail to:  EAHS, c/o One Can Make a Difference, 612 East Worthey Rd, Gonzales, LA 70737.
