Junior League of Boca Raton to Host Junior Golf Clinic Promoting Healthy Lifestyle to Local Children

March 16, 2012 - PRLog -- BOCA RATON, FL - Junior League of Boca Raton (JLBR) is sponsoring the Junior Golf Clinic Friday, March 23rd, 2012 at Don Law Golf Academy in Boca Raton.  The Junior Golf Clinic is held in conjunction with the JLBR’s 4th Annual Golf Classic.  The event will include children from the Florence Fuller Child Development Centers, ages 8 – 11, who will receive instruction from the professional staff of the Don Law Golf Academy.  The golf professionals will donate their time and expertise to giving the children a fun-filled day while teaching fundamentals of golf and the importance of an active and healthy lifestyle.

“We are thrilled to offer this opportunity to the children from Florence Fuller so they can have an experience outside their typical activities. Who knows, we may be introducing the next Rory McIlroy or Morgan Pressell to his/her future career” said Nancy Dockerty, President of the Junior League of Boca Raton. “We’re thankful to our many sponsors for making this Junior Golf Clinic possible.”

JLBR’s 4th Annual Golf Classic will be held on Friday, April 27th, 2012 at Broken Sound Club.  Participants will enjoy an 18-hole scramble, a putting contest, a betting hole, raffles and silent auctions at the beautiful Broken Sound Club.  Afterwards golfers and guests will enjoy an awards reception featuring heavy hors d’oeuvres, unlimited cocktails, entertainment, raffles and silent auction. Proceeds benefit the Junior League of Boca Raton and the organizations the league supports.
