Congress, Vets, Medicaid and Employers look to Doctor D.A.S. for Health Care Solutions,
The VA, Medicaid Systems and Employers can save million on Health Care Costs with Doctor DAS. The Doctor D.A.S packages of bundled health care services are available nationwide, and meet about 80% of all basic health care needs, for under $400/yr.
March 16, 2012 - PRLog -- Doctor D.A.S., a direct access service for health care consumers, is working with Medicaid Systems and Employers to reduce health care costs, and offer "guaranteed access" to the employees and beneficiaries of these programs.
Now Doctor D.A.S. may be made available to vets.
Recently introduced by Kathy Hochul, D-NY, is a bill called " Veterans’ Telehealth & Telemedicine Improvement Act". This bill will make Doctor D.A.S. a perfect option for Veterans to use to access basic care needs, regardless of where they are located in the United States.
" We want to help our vets get the care Congresswoman Hochul has a vision for, we believe in this bill and see it as a move forward in modernizing the Veterans Health Care Deliver system" states Daniel Francis, the Chief Operating Officer for EquityHealth, the company that is offering the Doctor D.A.S. program.
Doctor D.A.S. is a "Direct Access Service" that connects providers directly with the consumer. The format is free of copays, deductibles or cost sharing. For employers this means a fixed cost health plan that will complement any Defined Contribution program or High Deductible Policy offering.
For Vets, its a new service that will save them a lot of time and money. Currently Vets spend millions on travel alone to basic health care appointments. The Doctor D.A.S. format can work from their home, and according to Congresswoman Hochul, it may save half of the travel costs.
Doctor D.A.S. also offers access to Retail Clinics like the Walgreens Take Care Health centers, located inside Walgreens stores.
