First event to explore how entertainment fits with other services

For the first time, experts from across entertainment, energy, security and lifestyle come together to create the perfect ‘Connected Home’.

Homes across Europe are filling with new technology, the average person on the street carries more computing power in their pocket than the guidance computer which put the first man on the moon and 30% of 20-34 year olds check facebook before they event get out of bed.

So how is this reflected in the way we live our lives at home? Right now you might still interact with your home in the way we did in 1980 – choosing your television viewing from a set schedule, setting the central heating with a mechanical thermostat and communicate with someone in another room by shouting.

But delegates at Avren’s 4th annual ‘Connected Home’ event plan to change all that. From home automation to energy saving, entertainment to security, attendees will build a picture of the future and form the partnerships they need to deliver.

With speakers from across media and entertainment, including Yahoo! and the BBC, utilities such as British Gas, device manufacturers Samsung and Sony Ericsson and case studies from the UK’s leading operators including Vodafone, Orange, BT, Three, T Mobile, and Everything Everywhere, it’s the only event dedicated to enabling the knowledge and relationships which will create the future ‘Connected Home’.
