Hunterdon Art Museum Summer Camp Registration Now Open
Hunterdon Art Museum's beloved summer camp -- Follow Your Art -- is now accepting registrations. Kids 4-15 can choose from over 60 weeklong camps to keep them entertained and creative this summer.
Over 60 week-long camps for children ages 4-15
March 9, 2012 (Clinton, NJ) -- The Hunterdon Art Museum is pleased to announce that registration for its beloved summer camp -- Follow Your Art -- is now open. With over 60 week-long camps to choose from, children ages 4-15 will have no problem finding something they like. Registration is available online at www.hunterdonartmuseum.org, by telephone at 908-735-8415 or in person at 7 Lower Center Street in Clinton, NJ. Camps start June 25 and continues through August 24.
Each week is organized into morning and afternoon classes. Morning classes generally run from 9am to 12 noon. Afternoon classes start at 1pm and continue until 4pm. There are a few classes that span the entire day. In addition, the Museum offers Lunch with the Bunch, an hour between morning and afternoon sessions in which students can mingle with each other and eat lunch with adult supervision.
Summer camp options range from traditional art making classes, such as Draw, Paint & Sculpt (July 2-6; ages 7-8; morning session) and Book and Paper Making (August 13-17; ages 10-15; morning session) to photography-
Children can take a trip back in time with Egyptian Art (June 25-29; ages 7-8; afternoon session), Medieval Art (July 16-20; ages 10-15; full day) or Meet the Fauves (July 9-13; ages 7-9; afternoon session). For the cartoon lover, there is Comic Book Creation (August 6-10; ages 8-15; full day), Cartooning Around (August 13-17; ages 8-15; full day) as well as an Intro to Japanese Animé (August 20-24; ages 11-15; afternoon session).
Young fashionistas can get some practice honing their craft at Tie Dye & Batik (July 9-13; ages 10-12; morning session), Jewelry Design (July 9-13; ages 10-15; afternoon session) or Fashion Design and Illustration (July 30-August 3; ages 11-15; afternoon session).
Finally, the littlest campers can get in on the action and make their own stuffed toys at Sculpture Sampler: Fiber & Clay (June 25-29; ages 4-6; morning session)or learn about nature through collage and other media in Nature Art (July 9-13; ages 4-6; morning).
The Museum is offering three ways to save on tuition fees.
1. Become a MEMBER. All members of the Museum receive reduced tuition.
2. Register before May 15 and save $20 on most summer camps.
3. Stay All Day! Register the same child for one morning (AM) and one afternoon camp (PM) in the same week and get Lunch with the Bunch FREE ($50 value / does not include food).
Families can take advantage of all three ways and save over $100!
All summer camp options are listed on the Museum’s website. Fees for summer camp range from $170-$235 for one week of morning or afternoon classes. One week of full day classes is $380 for members.
