STUDIOCANAL and GCM PROMO to form a partnership

For the very first time in Europe, STUDIOCANAL is set to run a complete game to support the release of its new animation film Sammy 2. GCM Promo (Groupe ConcoursMania) has been given the task of developing the game.

March 15, 2012 - PRLog -- GCM Promo has announced that its specialist 3D gaming arm, Actiplay, has been selected by STUDIOCANAL to develop and operate a game to support the release of animated feature film Sammy 2, the follow-up to the big hit Sammy which made more than $80 million worldwide.
Sammy 2 is produced by STUDIOCANAL/nWave, one of the world leaders in 3D images. The French release is planned for 15 August 2012.

The offering comprises a complete game developed in 3D for all digital media (web, tablets, mobiles, pc/mac). The game includes more than 50 mini-games in five different worlds. It involves eight main characters from the film, who live in the magical universe of Sammy 2. The first version of the game will be available from mid-March. This operation demonstrates GCM Promo strong expertise in games to support an international film release.
