With eight of the world’s ten highest peaks, Nepal is loaded with spectacular mountain vistas. The Everest Base Camp trek is justifiably famous, not only for its proximity to the world’s highest mountain (8848m.) but also for its friendly Sherpa people, colorful festivals and Buddhist monasteries. The flora and fauna are other ornaments of the Sagarmatha National Park, and the story of the yeti is still a mystery to the world from the Khumbu region.

Itinerary List
Day 1 :   Kathmandu to Lukla (2840m) and Phakding (2610m): Fly to Lukla (35 minutes), trek.
Day 2 :   Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3446m): Trek
Day 3 :   Rest day at Namche Bazaar: Acclimatization.
Day 4 :   Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (3867m): Trek.
Day 5 :   Tengboche to Pheirche (4252m): Trek.
Day 6 :   Rest day at Pheriche: Acclimatization.
Day 7 :   Pheriche to Lobuche (4910m): Trek.
Day 8 :   Lobuche to EBC (5360m) to Gorakshep (5160m): Trek.
Day 9 :   Gorakshep to Kalapaththar (5545m) to Lobuche: Trek.
Day 10 :   Lobuche to Dingboche: Trek.
Day 11 :   Dingboche to Tengboche: Trek.
Day 12 :   Tengboche to Namche Bazaar: Trek.
Day 13 :   Namche Bazaar to Luka: Trek.
Day 14 :   Lukla to Kathmandu: Fly to Kathmandu (35 minute)

In 2003 Rishi was the guide for a research trip to lobuje (5000m).I did my PHD on sleep and breathing at high altitude studying 20 people over 3 trek in the khumbu .sleep studied were done at sea level(0m),Katmandu(1350m),Namchhe (3440m),Khunde(3900m),Pherichhe (4200m) and Lubuje( 5000 m).The result have been published in the journal of sleep research & the PHD thesis is available online through the university of Sydney.
