Macy’s Teams With Gamelin Advergames

Gamelin Advergames creates a retail math game for potential new hires – and saves Macy’s both time and money.
March 15, 2012 - PRLog -- Pumping some excitement into the hiring process, Gamelin Advergames teamed with Macy’s to create and launch an interactive retail math game for potential new hires. Gamelin Advergames approach involves getting players actively engaged with the game content and letting them opt-in to earn prizes and rewards as they learn.

Gamelin developed the retail math game for use in Macy’s college recruiting process.  The students being recruited by Macy’s were administered the game at campuses across the United States.  The test results were then automatically saved in a database that Macy’s HR was able to access.

By using the retail math game at the entry-level process in their college interviews, Gamelin provided Macy’s with a poxyo cost effective way to narrow down their list of potential hires.  Through the use of the retail math game, Macy’s was able to save more than $100,000 in travel and pre-employment administration costs in just one month.  Students who completed the retail math game earned a one-time use 15% off coupon as a thank you for their interest in Macy’s.

Gamelin’s list of current and past clients includes: Coca-Cola, Publisher’s Clearinghouse, Sanofi, Bank of America, Major League Baseball Players Alumni, Ford, Pfizer, Forbes Magazine, Johnson & Johnson, Solvay, Procter & Gamble, and numerous others.
