-- Bentonville, AR March 14, 2012 – Kruger Products, maker of White Cloud® Bath Tissue, extended an offer of free toilet paper today to the city of Trenton, NJ.
The New Jersey state capital is in the midst of a 5-month long budget battle that has left many of its municipal buildings in very short supply of paper goods – most importantly, the toilet paper needed for its bathrooms.
“We are happy to extend a helping hand to our neighbors working for the City of Trenton,” said White Cloud Director of Marketing, John McPherson. “At one time or another we have all found ourselves in the unfortunate situation of running out of toilet paper. When we learned that city employees in Trenton may find themselves without the rolls they need, we wanted to step in and help.”
In a communication to the office of Mayor Tony Mack on March 14, White Cloud® has offered to deliver a 1 month supply of bath tissue to the city for use in its public buildings across the city. “We aren’t taking sides in this situation,” added McPherson, “we simply want to help the city employees keep going at work.”
Last evening, emergency spending was approved that will allow the city to purchase toilet paper and avert outages in its buildings in the near term. The White Cloud family is pleased an interim resolution was reached and sincerely hopes the mayor will accept the offer of free product to help the city’s toilet paper needs.
Pending a response from the Mayor’s office, White Cloud® will arrange delivery of the needed bath tissue and ensure Trenton city government buildings have the toilet paper they need.
White Cloud® bath tissue is available in Walmart stores across the nation and offers a variety of 2-ply and 3-ply paper products. They can be found at mywhitecloud.com
