CollegeAmerica has added yet another interesting emphasis to its lineup of healthcare degrees - Bachelor’s of Science in Healthcare Administration degree with a Biomedical Clinical Specialties emphasis
Biomedicine refers to the application of biological and other natural science principles to clinical practice. The areas of clinical practice that biomedicine can be used for include healthcare research, monitoring, and treatment.
Biomedical students require a thorough understanding of natural science fields like microbiology, chemistry, physiology, psychology, pathology, etc.
In addition to courses that prepare students for the biomedical field, the program also provides students the competencies required to take on supervisory or managerial roles in a healthcare environment and to familiarize them with the business facets of healthcare.
Along with completing advanced theoretical courses, students enrolled in this program are also required to complete supervised clinical externships in areas like gerontology, neo-natal care, physical medical rehabilitation, and orthopedics.
