Palatine High School is the winner of Arlington Heights Ford’s Drive One for Your School  Facebook contest, and they will host a test-drive fundraising event with the school later this year. Local Illinois residents voted on the dealership’s Facebook page to choose which of two area high schools would receive the proceeds from Ford’s upcoming event, and Palatine High School came out the winner, with an impressive 237 votes. Drive One for Your School is a program created by Ford as a fun way to raise money for local high schools. Specifically, the aim is to provide crucial support for extracurricular activities. The way it works is this: Ford dealerships partner with local high schools to collaborate on a fundraising event, and on the day of the event, area drivers can come test drive a number of new Ford models. Ford will then donate $20 to the school — up to a total of $6,000 — for every test drive completed.
