March 12, 2012 - PRLog -- San Jose, Costa Rica – March 12, 2012 – With March Madness about to kick off, sports bettors looking for more action are making a mad dash for The popular online sportsbook has just released odds on its Final Four seed-based prop bet, and the odds are in a sports bettor’s favor regardless of how they bet.

Sports bettors are invited to bet on whether all four #1 seeds will make the Final Four. Taking the #1 seeds for the NCAA tournament on Selection Sunday were Kentucky, Syracuse, North Carolina, Michigan State.

The prop bet pays out 30/1 if all four #1 seeds are in the Final Four. That means if a bettor lays down $100 and the prop bet plays out, the bettor stands to pocket $3,000.

Bettors can also wager on all four #1 seeds missing the Final Four. If all four teams are eliminated before the Final Four gets underway, the bet will pay out 10/1, with a $100 bet paying out $1,000.

"March Madness has surpassed the Super Bowl as the most heavily bet event at,” stated Dave Johnson, head odds maker at “Prop bets add to the excitement and encourage more overall action. The odds on this prop bet have been calculated off past results by my team of experienced statisticians. The market will be open Monday before the tournament and the amount of action received will drive the odds either up or down as we get closer to tip-off. We will re-open and adjust the odds after each round up and through the Elite Eight games."

Johnson notes that in 2008, all the #1 seeds made the Final Four, including Kansas, North Carolina, UCLA, and Memphis. On the flipside, in 2011, all #1 seeds missed the Final Four, including Duke, Kansas, Ohio State, and Pittsburgh.

“We’ve seen the #1 seeds effortlessly glide into the Final Four, and we’ve seen them get shut out,” said Johnson. “We’re excited to open betting with some amazing odds on both scenarios, and we can’t wait to see how the brackets line up.”
