Local Nonprofits, Businesses & Vets Unite to Hire a Hero
Two opportunities are coming to Palm Coast/Flagler County for veteran soldiers to connect with local businesses and potential employment opportunities.
On Tuesday, March 13, local veterans can attend two workshops designed to assist with building confidence when applying for new jobs. 'Building Resumes' will begin at 9:00 a.m. and 'Practicing Interview Skills' will be held at 1:00 p.m., both at the Flagler County Chamber offices, 20 Airport Road. These workshops, sponsored by the Palm Coast Business Assistance Center and the Flagler County Chamber of Commerce & Affiliates, are both free of charge. If you are or know of a veteran who would benefit from these sessions, please contact the chamber at 386.437.0106 before March 13.
A memorable Meet & Greet will take place Friday, March 23 at the Flagler County Board of Realtors Building at 4101 East Moody Blvd. Prospective employers can meet and become better acquainted with local heroes between 4:00 and 6:00 p.m. These gatherings are part of an ongoing effort by Palm Coast/Flagler County to “Hire a Hero” and help veterans secure employment locally.
